MISSION STATEMENT: The Trial Lawyers College is dedicated to training and educating lawyers and judges who are committed to the jury system and to representing and obtaining justice for individuals; the poor, the injured, the forgotten, the voiceless, the defenseless and the damned, and to protecting the rights of such people from corporate and government oppression. In all of its activities, the Trial Lawyers College will foster and nourish an open atmosphere of caring for people regardless of their race, age, creed, religion, national origin, physical abilities, gender or sexual orientation.
American College of Trial Lawyers
The American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL) is a professional association of trial lawyers from the United States and Canada. Founded in 1950, the College is dedicated to maintaining and improving the standards of trial practice respectively trial advocacy, the administration of justice and the ethics of the profession. Through its Board of Regents, its general committees and its state and province committees, the College engages in a wide variety of activities to further those purposes. The College also awards the Medal for Excellence in Advocacy on a yearly basis, as well as other awards presented at various events or competitions judged by members of the College.

On August 28, 2018, the American College of Coverage and Extracontractual Counsel announced a name change; the College will be known as the American College of Coverage Counsel. The name change more succinctly reflects the association’s purpose. "Our mission remains the same: to advance the creative, ethical, and efficient adjudication of insurance coverage and extracontractual disputes,” said Mary McCutcheon, president of the American College of Coverage Counsel. “We will continue our focus on educating all sectors involved in the field of insurance law – including the judiciary, legal and insurance professionals, law students and businesses.”

Daniel Thomasch Admitted to American College of Trial Lawyers
New York partner Daniel Thomasch has been admitted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in America. He was inducted during the College’s 2012 Spring Meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona. The College is composed of the best of the trial bar from the U.S. and Canada. Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only and only after careful investigation. Lawyers must have a minimum of 15 years trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship.
